Ithaca College has announced that Chris Lee '10 [pictured at left] will be the next Ithaca College Annual Fund young alumni chair. Chris has been an active member of the IC Annual Fund Young Alumni Committee for the last two years and has enthusiastically asked fellow young alumni for philanthropic support of the IC Annual Fund. He currently works for Dell, and he and his wife, Alicia Marchant Lee '10, reside in Austin, Texas.
While a student, Chris was a student trustee, a president's host, and a member of the Senior Class Gift Committee, Ithacappella, and the Student Government Association. "Chris is a tremendous leader, and I am thrilled that he has agreed to lead our young alumni to great success," said Alyssa Cooper, associate director of the IC Annual Fund.
Three years ago Cornell Woodson '09 [right] eagerly agreed to serve as the first-ever IC Annual Fund young alumni chair. "When Cornell signed up, he didn't really know what that would mean for him," Cooper said. "But that didn't stop him. He embraced his role and unselfishly gave IC more than could have been imagined."
During his term Cornell served as a tireless advocate for young alumni philanthropic support of the IC Annual Fund, led the first IC Annual Fund Young Alumni Committee, helped strengthen the image of the IC Annual Fund among young alumni (those who have graduated in the past 10 years), and deepened the pride associated with annually supporting the college.
"I can't thank Cornell enough for his dedication and commitment to IC, and I am delighted that he will continue his involvement with the college by serving as the young alumni chair of the Metro New York Regional Committee," said Rob de la Fuente, director of the IC Annual Fund.
Ithaca College congratulates Chris on his new appointment and thanks Cornell for his service.
