Ithaca College Contemporary Ensemble (ICCE), directed by Jorge Villavicencio Grossmann, will perform at the Americas Society in New York City on April 14, 2014, at 7 p.m.
A highlight of Ithaca College's first Latin American Music Festival
, the evening's program includes pieces by Carlos Sanchez-Gutierrez, Celso Garrido-Lecca, Mario Davidovsky, and a new composition by Grossmann himself.
Comprised of faculty, student, and guest performers, ICCE focuses on music of our time as well as classics of the 20th century, providing a uniquely formative and intense performance experience for performers and concertgoers alike.
The Americas Society, located at 680 Park Avenue (at East 68th Street) in Manhattan, is the premier forum dedicated to education, debate, and dialogue in the Americas. Its mission is to foster an understanding of the contemporary political, social, and economic issues confronting Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada.
