Our getaway will take us through the rugged natural scenery of the island as well as the country's vibrant, cosmopolitan capital, Reykjavik. We'll visit hot springs, the Secret Lagoon, spectacular waterfalls, and perhaps we'll even get a view of the aurora borealis. We'll also have time to sample the local cuisine, do a little shopping, and go off the beaten path — snowmobile safari, anyone?

Our Host

Our host will be IC's own Michael Twomey, Charles A. Dana Professor of Humanities and Arts in the college's Department of English. Michael's expertise encompasses Icelandic literature and culture.

The cost is $1,980 per person, based on double occupancy, including airfare from Boston or New York. This rate includes roundtrip airfare, three nights' accommodations in a first-class hotel, all ground transportation, several meals, a local tour guide, entrance fees to all sites detailed in the itinerary, and lectures by Professor Twomey.

Space Is Very Limited

Our Iceland adventure is limited to just 24 guests, so don't delay! Last year's trip completely sold out in advance. We recommend that you submit your registration form at least 90 days in advance to secure your spot.
